YI Review Process Description. YI abstracts undergo three levels of review. Peer reviewers assigned to the submitter-selected MHSRS Breakout Session perform the first level of review. After assessing the reviewers scores and comments, that Breakout Session’s Abstract Review Lead has the option of nominating one YI abstract to move on. The next level of review involves a re-review of all of the Breakout Session nominated YI abstracts and is performed by different panel of reviewers, who are not privy to the previous reviews scores. Eight (8) YI abstracts are selected for a 15-minute oral presentation at the meeting’s YI Plenary Session. The YI abstracts not selected for an oral presentation are accepted to the YI Poster Competition. The third level of review is at the MHSRS. The YI presenters are scored on the podium or poster presentations of their research by a third group of judges. The top three scoring podium presentations and the top scoring poster presentation will be recognized at the MHSRS Awards ceremony.
